Candidates Set for General Election in NC’s Third and Ninth Congressional Districts

State Rep. Greg Murphy (R-Pitt) defeated Dr. Joan Perry yesterday in a GOP run-off primary for North Carolina’s Third Congressional District seat. Murphy won almost 60 percent of the total votes in the run-off.

The General Election for this race will be held on Tuesday, September 10, and Murphy will be facing Democratic primary winner Allen Thomas, Libertarian primary winner Tim Harris, and Constitution Party’s Greg Holt.

The General Election for North Carolina’s Ninth Congressional District seat will also be held on September 10, and will feature Democrat Dan McCready, Republican State Senator Dan Bishop, Green Party candidate Allen Smith, and Libertarian Jeff Scott.

Be sure to get out and vote on September 10 if you live in NC’s Third or Ninth Congressional Districts!
