A hands-on civic education!

NC Family is excited to host high school and college-aged student groups for our Salt & Light Student Seminars!

These educational, informative, and inspirational programs include:

  • Discussion with NC Family Staff on the importance of Christian engagement in public policy
  • Message from NC Family President John Rustin on the “3 P’s” of effective advocacy
  • Experiencing a real-life committee debate on critically important bills of interest*
  • The option of touring the NC General Assembly and meeting with your state legislators**

*In person or virtually depending on group size

**When the legislature is in session

These seminars typically include 3 hours of instruction time (not including a visit to the NC General Assembly), at the NC Family office in Raleigh. Seminars can comfortably accommodate groups of up to 25 students.

For Pastors

Experience how your influence can impact public policy!

NC Family is excited to open our Raleigh office to pastors and church leaders for our Salt & Light Pastors Seminars! In these Seminars, pastors and church leaders will learn and discuss how to engage their congregations in effective, Christ-centered advocacy. NC Family Staff will share about our work in the state legislature as we strive to bring our Christian values into the public policy arena.

Salt & Light Pastors Seminars include:

  • Discussion with NC Family Staff on the importance of Christian engagement in public policy
  • Tips on how to instruct your congregation to effectively carry Christian values into the public square
  • Message from NC Family President John Rustin on the “3 P’s” of effective advocacy
  • The option of touring the NC General Assembly and meeting with your state legislators

These Seminars typically lasts 3 hours (not including a visit to the NC General Assembly), and take place at NC Family’s office in Raleigh. Seminars comfortably accommodate groups of up to 25 pastors and church leaders.
