Rustin Responds to State of the State

North Carolina Family Policy Council president John L. Rustin released the following statement in response to the State of the State address presented by Governor Pat McCrory on Wednesday, February 4, 2015.

“While we appreciate Governor Pat McCrory’s service to the State of North Carolina, we are deeply distressed by the complete omission of critical issues related to family, faith and freedom in his State of the State address,” said Rustin. “At a time when our citizens are seeking strong leadership on the issues of sanctity of human life, marriage, and religious liberty, the Governor stands silent. In stark contrast, our legislative leaders have not hesitated to take action on these important and fundamental matters, and we encourage the Governor to do the same.”
