Dr. Dick Douglas, A Man of Great Faith, Vision, and Passion

N.C. Family Policy Council Chairman Emeritus, Dr. Edgar S. “Dick” Douglas, Jr. of Greenville, N.C. went to be with the Lord this past Monday, August 22. Dr. Douglas was a founding board member of NC Family and served faithfully and graciously as Chairman of the Board from 1992-2006. After this time, he was named Chairman Emeritus.

“Dick was a man of great faith, vision, and passion,” says NC Family President John L. Rustin. “Not only did he welcome countless children into this world as a prominent OBGYN in the Greenville area, but Dick fought with incredible devotion to honor God, the sanctity of human life, and Biblical Truth. We join with Janey, the Douglas family, and the Greenville community to mourn his passing, but we also rejoice that Dick is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

Dr. Douglas’ obituary is a testament to his commitment to faith, family, and freedom.

A Celebration of Dick’s life will be held at 2PM on Sunday, August 28 at Jarvis Memorial United Methodist Church in Greenville, N.C.
