Voter Resources in North Carolina
Voting is one of the most important privileges and duties for citizens of the United States, and in North Carolina. This is a gateway to important resources you can use to help educate yourself and other about where the candidates stand on issues as well as information to help you register to vote and to conduct a successful voter drive in your church or community. We hope these resources are useful.

2010 Voter Guide
The NCFPC 2010 Voter Guide is now available by clicking on the image to the left. In addition to researching the candidates positions on issues, we also encourage you do several things to prepare for the upcoming November 2 election:

  • Make sure you are registered to vote. The deadline for voter registration in North Carolina is October 8.
  • Encourage your local church or nonprofit organization to conduct a voter registration drive prior to the October 8 deadline. (See box below)
  • Make sure your church is planning to make our 2010 Voter Guide available to the congregation. We are accepting orders now, in multiples of 100. Download the order form here, and visit our online sign-up form to enter your order.
  • Forward the link to this page to your family, friends and community so they will have the opportunity to more fully participate in this election.

2010 Voter Registration Information Toolkit
This toolkit includes the following resources in one document:

  • Keys to Success, This provides keys to leading a successful voter registration drive in your church. These keys include voter registration guidelines, instructions for volunteers, and a list of important supplies you'll need.
  • Issues Specific to NC Voter Registration, This resource provides important information regarding the NC 2010 Voter Registration form.
  • Primary and General Election Dates, This helps you know important dates such as absentee voting, one-stop voting, and election times for both the primary and general elections.
  • Voter Registration FAQ, This resource provides answers to some of the most frequently asked questions that registration volunteers are likely to encounter during a voter registration drive.
  • Getting Involved, This is a policy paper produced by the North Carolina Family Policy Council outlining guidelines for churches in legislative and political activity.
  • Contact Information for Local Boards of Election, This list includes the local board of elections for each of North Carolina's counties so that voter registration volunteers can know where to turn in completed voter registration forms.
