The Truth Project In Greenville And Greensboro

Special Report - November 17, 2009

This Saturday, November 21, the North Carolina Family Policy Council is bringing Focus on the Family’s Truth Project Leader Training to Greenville and on December 5 to Greensboro, NC. The Council is partnering with Focus on the Family to present small group leader trainings for The Truth Project at churches across our state. This weekend’s event, which will be held at Grace Church, is one of several partner training events sponsored by the North Carolina Family Policy Council over the next several months, and the only one in the eastern part of the state. An individual or couple who completes this four-hour training will receive a copy of The Truth Project video series on DVD and be trained to start a small group in their home to experience The Truth Project.

Churches across America are discovering that The Truth Project is a valuable addition to their teaching ministry and discipleship-training programs. GaryAlan Taylor, Senior Manager of The Truth Project for Focus on the Family, recently discussed The Truth Project on the Council’s weekly radio program, Family Policy Matters. “In a nutshell, [the Truth Project] is a DVD-based small group curriculum designed to build a comprehensive Christian worldview within the body of Christ,” said Taylor. “What happens in that process is we begin to look at every area of life from a Biblical perspective, and we juxtapose it against what is said in Scripture. And what we have found is that those individuals who have gone through The Truth Project—either as a trained leader or as a participant—really do begin to see life in radically different ways by the end of the study.”

The Truth Project Leader Training will be in Greenville this Saturday, November 21, at Grace Church. The final Truth Project Leader Training in North Carolina this year is scheduled for Greensboro at Christ Community Church on December 5. Unless otherwise noted, all trainings are held from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
