Family Champion Training Coming to N.C.

Focus on the Family is bringing its “Family Champion Training” seminar for pastors and church leaders to Raleigh on August 22, 2009. The “Family Champion Training” event is geared toward helping churches and pastors develop a family ministry that encourages responsible fatherhood, healthy marriages, and spiritual parenting in the home. The event will be held August 22 at the Upper Room Church of God in Christ in Raleigh. It will be led by Focus on the Family Church Outreach Manager, Jeff Hoyle. According to Focus on the Family, the “Family Champion Training” covers the following topics:

  • Helping churches equip families to live out faith in the home
  • Assisting families in creating a spiritual development plan
  • Launching a church awareness event that promotes the church’s family ministry
  • Providing lay leaders with practical tools to assist their pastor’s in family ministry

To help promote awareness of the August 22 event, Focus on the Family is hosting two complimentary “Family Champion Training” awareness breakfasts for pastors and church leaders at local churches in the area. The first awareness breakfast is scheduled for June 30 at Peninsula Baptist Church in Mooresville, North Carolina from 8:30-10:00 a.m. eastern. On July 1, the Upper Room Church of God in Christ in Raleigh will host a “Family Champion Training” awareness breakfast from 8:30-10:00 a.m. eastern.
